I buy what I like, not because of hype, or how it will be able to hold its value.
I missed the days of being able to get 30% off a watch from my AD.
The popularity of the brand actually ruined it a bit for me.
Now I have to be careful when wearing a 'hot' watch when travelling because it is so highly recognizable.
