As someone living in Austin, TX I am thinking of moving to San Diego. Property tax is insane here, and frankly Austin doesn't offer much when compared to a 'real' city. If we have rampant homelessness, a dirty unsafe DT, and tons of traffic from visitors I'd rather live close to a beach.
Grass is always greener elsewhere.
