Personally, I'd look for a better example. That case has been over-polished, IMHO. Those poor lugs have lost all of their original lines.
As for dial color, that's a matter of personal preference. The black dial is more old-school and still has a little DNA from the original Explorer II. The white dial is nice too, but has a more modern look.
