My wife's parents are both Polish and she's 100% fluent. She says it more along the lines of 'pah teck' with emphasis on the latter half. However 'patek' is not a common Polish word, nor last name.

Nonetheless, her pronunciation sounds much more fluid (and nicer) with her accent, than I do with my American tongue.

Franciszek Czapek (Patek's original partner) on the other hand......this sounds definitively more Polish to me.
