The size Rolex advertises is 40mm and does not include crown nor pushers. Before quibbling about your measurements, I'd suggest asking where they measure the cross-section of case diameter - you may see a .45mm difference but not a 2mm difference.
Over time some models have been given "maxi cases" which are beefier in lug thickness, etc.
