Purchased my first Panerai today, PAM 563, from an AD locally in Monterey.
I couldn't be happier with the purchase and going into the shop multiple times and speaking with the owner, who himself is a Swiss trained horologist specializing in Panerai, was an absolute treat.
Honestly, I was leaning towards Rolex but was swayed by Panerai because I felt like I was ultimately getting a much more refined timepiece for 1/2 the cost of a Rolex, which seems more like a status symbol to me.
