I like what you’ve done.
I received my father’s 1979 DD this past year. It had an aftermarket crystal, bezel and dial, as well as, beat up Rolex parts, including bent bracelet links. I knew I wanted to bring it back to 100% genuine parts, and had to make dozens of decisions a long the way. I decided not to source period correct parts. I can do that at anytime in the future. For now, I was 100% satisfied with letting RSC use new authentic Rolex parts.
Question: why didn’t you have them polish the hands?
