I thought about that as well but wanted to keep all my original parts. All the parts I used were nos. I needed a new crown and tube. Dial is genuine but not period correct.
My next search will be a 1979 of some sort as it’s my birth year. I have 2 boys and plan to hand them each one when they get older.
