Yes they removed material during polish but not enough that you would detect it with the naked eye. Unless you broke out a micrometer, I doubt you could even measure how much they may have removed. They will not polish to perfection if you have dents. I know this from personal experience with a TT sub I had serviced at RSC. They polished and minimized a dent on a lighter but it was still visible and they did not discernibly alter the shape of the lug.
