The 9315 and 93150 have been an option since the 1675 and 16750. Most GMTs up until the mid-'90s could be ordered or fitted with that bracelet long before the 78790/78790A appeared. That includes the 16760 and 16700 prior to the 16710 getting the 78790/78790A. It was intended to fit over flight suits using the dive extension.

Many were fitted after the sale by the dealer and therefore wouldn't have left the factory as such.
