Water Resistence with crown unscrewed

So, I forgot to screw the crown of my 3 month old SuperOcean 42 back in after setting the time today, and strapped it on my wrist. I noticed about 45mins later, after I'd been washing some items on the sink.

I don't believe the watch actually got wet, and I'm not overly concerned about water ingress but I did wonder what sort of water resistance there is with the crown unscrewed?

I've heard of the twinlock/triplock crowns on Rolexes, and how there is an element of water resistance even with the crown out, but I don't know anything about Breitlings construction.

Of course, the advice from Breitling is to always have the crown screwed to protect water resistance but surely with the crown open there isn't suddenly a big hole in the case for water to ingress?
