I hope not - think Steve is willing to keep it open as long as it’s only one or two outliers who try to aggressively dominate the dialog with outrage.

If last night is any example, the antagonist was banned and the thread kept open.

But if we get off into political, racial, religious or other off-topic rants that require constant pruning - then it’s better to close a thread.
