There's a couple companies making zero turn battery mowers. I have quite a bit of Ego brand equipment and find the weed whackers, hedge trimmers, etc to be more powerful than the gas stuff I once owned. The biggest drawback I see is the cost of the batteries. I have several sizes, with the smallest battery costing about $150. I don't have any riding equipment, can't imagine what that battery will cost. I need at least two batteries to weed whack and edge my property (I went back to a gas mower when I bought my current property, which is almost two acres). Commercially, it's doable, but gonna be quite an investment to get started and probably ongoing to keep replacing batteries.
