Emergency physician here. I wore a Rolex every day. The only people who ever commented on my watch were career criminals and gangsters, and they always gave me a wink and a chuckle when they did.

I was given one as a gift, and I used it daily too. Maybe because I wore boring scrubs and running shoes every day of my career.

I received lots of comments as I smoked a cigar wearing a Rolex and riding my Harley. I once presented a case at a conference in front of 200 ER docs about a biker struck by lightning. I asked how many attendees rode motorcycles. Two raised their hand.
