I've worn my two tone sub in all conditions (pools, sea, sauna, steam rooms ) and i never have seen anything like this, I treat watches as tools that need to be worn and to be fair they all look in great condition.
I would return it to Rolex to seek further advice, I would never recommend that you use Cape cod on your watch unless its just a small area and you are confident you know what you are doing.
