The 1389 is a totally different watch and a great one at that. Like most Panerai's it is a strap monster. I have always liked the 233 but over the years it is consistent in having movement issues. I know several owner who just gave up and moved on. It does not appear to work for you as well as in the past so move it. Get the 1389 and wear it more. Simple.
