watches online. I love the beauty of the mechanism. I love quirkyness they can portray. I love that a good build looks like a jewel and adds a nice heft on the wrist. I love that I can change the band and transform the look of the watch. It’s a microcosm of technology, and the only “fashion” I bother with.
I love complexity of regulating the mechanism - through an escapement or quartz or even a tuning fork! For mechanicals, I especially love seeing the movement in a full or partial skeletal form.
