It's all a matter of perspective..
.......... Let me say though... I think that there are too many folks who are overly concerned with "resale", as opposed to having and enjoying their time-piece..
But......... now-days, casebacks are standardized as to fitment and inside markings, and so it is easily replaced at a proper service for a nominal cost if you don't take it off yourself as we show in the Reference Library..
