Roger Dubuis is a fine brand, and Franck Muller is nothing like as bad, as you’re trying to portray.
The Easy Diver never really grabbed me, but the current Excaliburs (42/43mm) and Homage do, as well as the discontinued La Monégasque and Sympathie.
If the ED case shape is what appeals, then my recommendation would be to consider the LM.
