The second pic is a perfect representation of what the watch looks like when trying to read the time.... you can’t! The hands should be yellow or white gold, something with better contrast.









Actually, I never try to read the time with my wrist so far away. Your first pic is typically how it looks at a glance in the real world. I have never had an issue reading the time except when there is no light.

In almost any light, the shiny hands and hour indexes can be seen due to the fact they reflect light.

It is not nearly as hard to read as it seems. Just some thoughts based on owning the watch for over a month and wearing it quite a bit.
