I think that some of the Apple Watch ubiquity will erode in the future due to either more biomechncial implants and/or smart rings. The Oura ring is already out there and can track some health info apparently. If one could get the needed health aspects covered (heart beat, O2 levels, sugar levels, Fall detection, steps per day, etc), in a ring-sized package, would one still “take up wrist space” with a watch?
Likewise, if one has an artificial eye, etc. with full internet access (think Terminator), would one still want an Apple Watch? One might still want jewelry though, and that’s where a watch might still be popular? Just hazarding a guess…
