Apples, oranges, and grapefruits are what you just mentioned.

Johnny Walker Black is an OK blended Scotch, although I quite prefer the Gold label over it. The blend is kept a secret, but you can be sure it is quite malt-heavy (barley), since that's what most Scotch distillers use as their primary grain. JW is owned by Diageo and has access to several dozen whiskies to use in its blends.

Jack Daniels is Tennessee whiskey, primarily corn mash, with rye and barley in it, then dripped over charcoal to "remove impurities" and mellow out the flavors. Very distinct flavor.

Maker's Mark is also corn heavy, but with wheat instead of rye in the mash, which smoothes and sweetens the bourbon even more.

Personally, I don't like a smokey Scotch with a cigar; too much smoke. I prefer a sweet and smooth bourbon to pair it with.
