Nothing wrong with discussing value here. I would estimate the value of that watch at +/- $450 as it needs a service, new crystal and new crown as well as taking into account its well used condition. I can't tell if the blemishes I see are on the dial or the well worn crystal.
After cleanup it would make a nice daily wear Connie pie pan. I agree that a brown strap looks good and if you do choose the more formal black strap, take a hard look at a black crocodile instead of a black lizard strap.
