GS has several different movements. So, they work to make something for everyone, which means of course they have to cover all of the bases.
You want hi-beat? Auto? Spring Drive? Quartz? Great. You can likely get the dial and case (bracelet to a lesser extent) combo you like, at least with the regular production models.
The movement is at the heart of the decision. Personally, I can only applaud such an approach.
This isn’t about “luxury market”, business cases and “resale value”, it’s just about good watches. I’m not surprised that there are those in this thread who don’t get that.
