I have known about the many ADs having watchmakers than can service Patek, Rolex, etc. However I am curious how their service compares to Patek NYC (HSWA) or official Rolex service centers in NYC or Dallas.
I suspect most Rolex wearers would not mind sending their watches to an independent watchmaker or one working at an AD for routine servicing.
However since Patek owners are a different breed, I wonder how many US owners would use a service center other than the HSWA or Patek Geneva (for vintage watches or watches with highly complicated movements) if pricing was the same, but there was a difference in service wait times.
