Regrettably, several members have noted similar issues with their AP timepieces. In my view, it has become a little worrying frankly. Most report good service experiences, though out of warranty it is not inexpensive.
I'm sorry for your misfortune and hope it can be resolved soon and without excessive cost. Please do keep us informed of any insight AP provide on the issue and on your service experience.
