I've been a reader of the forum since 2011 and am very excited to make my first post- pics of my new 3940 R in rose gold!!!!!!! The patek perpetual calendar, particularly in rose gold, has always held major grail status for me- something mythical among watchmaking in my eyes.

Upon unboxing it, the watch has exceeded all my expectations! The rose color is unique and subtly changes appearance throughout the day. The size feels excellent in rotation with my other daytonas and rolexes

After chatting with a Patek historian, i was surprised to learn only 1,500 of the 3940 were produced in rose gold. I was drawn to the strong Patek DNA in this watch, not only in its aesthetics and mythology, but also in the fact that the 3940 was daily wearer of Mr. Stern himself!
