Big difference is that this virus is very contagious - apparently can live outside the body for a week on surfaces

One line of argument is to allow the younger more robust population to catch it, get well and develop immunity, whilst keeping the vulnerable isolated. However, that is a risky strategy.
Isn’t the UK taking on this strategy along with the warmer weather hope in April? Delay and prolong before peak? Quite risky indeed especially considering SARS-1 didn’t apply to this logic including seasonal changes. Flu is a different mechanism.
