A Japanese Instagram friend recently pointed out that my 1962 Seiko Cronos is the same (or very similar) as the one worn by Eiji Okda in the Oscar-nominated
Woman in the Dunes (1964).
Fortunately I already own the DVD so was able to get right to re-watching it
