Two thoughts on this:
1) The current Speedmaster Pro will be the last of the true "vintage style" Speedies. The rumored new model might have ceramic bezel whereas the current has aluminum. With other more modern updates the current models may be more desirable if you still want the old school look. (Same thing happened with aluminum bezeled Submariners when Rolex came out with the SubC)
2) A price increase is all but certain. The days of picking up a new Speedy for approx $4k will be long gone.
