I would never, ever, ever pay a premium for a meters-first dial (matte) over a feet-first dial, everything else being equal. I've yet to hear a good explanation as to why some collectors consider them more desirable than feet-first dials.
Maxi dials are definitely great and more desirable, in my book anyway. They actually make a strong visual impact on the dial, unlike meters-first dials.
