During this Nautilus and Aquanaut CRAZE, there has been a lot of talk about the future of Patek dress watches and if they are dead, but I say NO!
Like any luxury item, make sure you buy right (i.e. smart) and enjoy the beauty that is inherent in Patek dress watches. To dismiss out of hand the BEAUTIFUL and ROMANTIC Patek dress watch is to dismiss much of the JOY that comes from watch collecting AND watch wearing.
I think there is a place for Patek sports AND Patek dress watches.
