I agree it's a little disappointing about the movement change, but that's probably not a total deal breaker for me. I like the black bezel, and would have gotten a 1389 or 389 a long time ago but that 47mm is tough for me. I briefly had a 1305 but traded it in just due to the size, it wasn't as comfortable as I had hoped.
One thing I did notice on my 1305 was the rotor was pretty loud, it was the first series with the clear back, but I didn't love the rotor noise. Maybe the new PAM683 movement is a little quieter?

Bezel was not as smooth turning as a Rolex Bezel. Completely forgot to shake the watch to listen for a noisy rotor movement. Size is perfect as for me the 47mm Submersibles wear just ever so slightly too big for my wrists. Solid feeling watch. Better then a Rolex Submariner? Not in my eyes but as part of a collection it is a lovely watch.
