USD 300k sounds more like the 40th P w diamonds and tombstone of which 700 were made IIRC. The non-40th P is world's above in terms of desirability as it is very rare (some believe 20, others around 50) and most would agree much prettier (w lumed markers instead of diamonds and w/o tombstone).

Can't disagree with anything you say except to point out the difference is simply a blue dial.
The price for all Nautilus on the secondary market is madness I'm afraid. There are many nicer pieces at these prices from Patek and others - time buyers started to get real and looked at some proper high horology.
