TL;DR: Help.

First, I apologize for not being able to post photos. Photobucket is down and I don't have tapatalk.

I have been taking photos on my iPhone X and posting them on Instagram (I am Locutus49). I have been taking pix of the movement of my Aquanaut but because of the way the deployant band is, you can't get directly behind it and have to shoot from an angle.

My first photos were not that close so I bought a 15x clip-on macro lens, but surprisingly the photos were not much better than the plain iPhone ones. You can see the rotor fine but the other parts of the movement are a bit blurry and the photos are not any closer than the plain iPhone.

Question: do I buy a stronger macro? Oh, I have a tripod but it didn't help much at all.
