Very easy to do. Assuming the strap is already attached to the watch case, by eye it is obvious that the strap can be cut down a fair amount. After that point I push it in the ends of the clasp without attaching the spring bars there yet. That gives me a good feel of how much additional rubber to cut. Once I’m close, but the strap is still a bit loose, I attach the spring bars and wear the watch for a week or so. After that time it’s clear what else needs to be cut if it does.
