My current collection is a wee bit bloated at the moment, with a mix of vintage and modern from several different brands. If we take the vintage out of the equation, because those are obviously *investments* (ha, I wish), and I had to consolidate to a Rolex-only, three Watch collection, I would go this route:
1) Air: Versatile/Robust/Functional - BLNR
2) Sea: Dressy/Functional - YM Dk Rhodium
3) Land: Fun - Z-Blue
I have the first two and will hopefully add the Milgauss by the end of the year. My favorite color is blue and the above three make for a trifecta of non-overlapping Rolex blues. I also am adding some Everest straps to cut back on the PCL-fest I have going on.

Land - 1969 Tudor Date+Day Jumbo (keeping it “in the family” while we wait for the Z-Blue):
