For a 1500 dollars savings, I would gladly take the 3 year warranty over the 5. This whole warranty thing is being blown out of proportion. Chances are if there is a manufacturing defect, it will most likely be noticed in the first year.
My 16613 bought 18 years ago had a 1 year warranty as did all Rolex watches back then and nobody cried about it.
