I am confident you will be thrilled to hear this, but I could not agree with you more.
Spent the first two months of the year in Delray Beach. Then back and forth to see the parents. Just got back an hour ago actually. Flew in yesterday to surprise them for the holiday.
Anyway, Florida is PACKED. People everywhere. And while a fun place to visit, I have firmly decided I do not want to live there (this is the part I figured you'd be thrilled about). Certainly not yet anyway. Might have no choice in the future. But that is another story for another time.
And the savings that people get just does not seem to be there. Not anymore anyway. And again, all the people. Yikes.
In regard to OP, gators ARE scary. Those parents are nuts. I would not let my dog close, let alone a kid.
