There’s a thing called a window to see whether it’s day or night...

The basic philosophy of Panerai is simplicity,and one of the selling point of their 12/12 gmt in which you can hide the gmt hand behind the main hour hand...if they do 24 hrs gmt,they have to add 24 hours chapter ring or bezel thus making the watch looks busier than necessary
