Casio (Casioak) GA-2110SU-3AER First Impressions

I've just received my Casio (Casioak) G-Shock GA-2110SU-3AER, this is a quick review and first impressions of the watch.

The watch was ordered from Casio UK two days ago so delivery was quite quick. It comes in a substantial cardboard box, as illustrated below.

Inside this box is a further, smaller box that contains a Casio G-Shock tin.

Inside the tin is the instruction manual and the watch, carefully packed inside foam.

The watch is quite big, the dimensions being 48.5 x 45.4 x 11.8 mm, despite this, it is very light on the wrist, coming in at 51g. The body is made from Carbon-Reinforced Resin and the module is protected by a new Carbon Core Guard Structure and the strap is resin and comes with quick release spring bars. The waterproof rating is 200 meters.

Functions are as follows.

Time, date and day indicators

5 Daily Alarms
Countdown timer
Stopwatch
World time, displaying the time in all major cities of the world
Analog and digital displays, the hands can be moved if they are obstructing the digital display and will return to normal after.
Battery life is 3 years.

My first impressions are, it is very easy to read the analog display but the digital display leaves a lot to be desired. Even with reading glasses, I found it a bit of a struggle. The watch is very comfortable on the wrist and is so light you forget you are wearing it. I like the design and colour, very fresh and clean. It's early days, we'll have to see how things go in the next few weeks. One last thing is the obligatory wristshot.
