Honestly thats not the way i would start with AP. I personally think you need to be very familiar with the brand and models to buy used, and especially so online.
I would start by going to an AD and trying on watches and to see what sizes and materials appeal to you most. Then select a watch either new from an AD or slightly used from a reputable seller who also can provide the service history as knowing that is essential to buying used.
