The basic classic square G-Shock with run you about $50. It's as durable and accurate as they get. Battery powered that should last 5 years and easily replaceable. The $50 G is as tough and durable as a$5000 G-Shock.
I myself have two. The BW5600 with solar, bluetooth, wireless radio etc.. it has the newest version of the combu Bracelet. I love it. I spent about $200.
I bought another one a couple of weeks ago in white. It doesn't have the bells and whistles which I kind of regret, but It was $80. I used some of my AMEX points to pay for it.
For style, accuracy and durability you really can't go wrong with a Casio G-Shock.
