I am not trying to be deliberately contrary. As I said I genuinely hope things are sorted for the OP. That is why I suggested potentially bringing a claim against the person responsible for the hot tub. If that is the OP then there is a possibility he is out of luck.

Warranties are all about technicalities. If they were not it would be an insurance policy.

There is little difference between a vat of acid and an incorrect concentration of chlorine in a hot tub. The watch doesn’t differentiate.
