Seiko on the other hand, I can open up and take out the movement mess around with the watch, the bracelet, straps and all the while there are so many variations that get me excited. The cost sub ye grand Seiko line is reasonable and really give me a lot of enjoyment.

I get probably more enjoyment out of my Seiko’s than some of my rolexes and pateks tbh.
I wear seiko 90% of the time now, and I don’t care who knows it. Those in my life who know about my hobby wonder why I seem to always wear seiko, and I think you captured the essence of why. They are watches meant to be worn and modded and fiddled with etc....it can be a more immersive experience with seiko then any other brand.
