Great review and comments guys. You described everything I love about the Explorer. I bought my first Rolex (an Explorer) 8 days ago to celebrate my 15th wedding anniversary. I absolutely love it and have literally thanked my wife for it everyday so far.

In the short time I've had it, I have worn the watch doing everything from weeding my garden to going to the theatre. For me, it is the perfect go anywhere, do everything watch. I am very pleased to know that one day, it will be passed down to one of my boys.

I couldn't help but take a picture of it while picking blueberries with my wife and kids today. My wife laughs at me, but she knows how much this watch means to me.
