Yes, on your side of the pond...
If you buy a new car in Germany the process tends to be quite different. You put in your order w the specs, color, and options you want, you'll get a time frame for when the car will be produced accordingly, and after what is typically a few months you can pick up your new vehicle at the factory or at your dealer.
