Margins are higher by selling at full msrp and keeping all the profits in-house by going "boutique only". I can't blame them for this tactic in a down swiss watch economy. It's also great publicity and generates foot traffic into the boutiques where the customers might just pick up a regular stocking model upon realizing the limited editions have been snatched up. My 2 cents.
