I don‘t have details, but if you wind up the IWC, it feels significantly smoher than a regular ETA powered watch. And as said , the rotor noise is different and much more silent and smooth.

So I assume, that IWC modifies the mainspring section and corresponding geartrain and at least the rotor bearrings.
