Hope everyone is having a wonderful Labor Day Weekend.

I was looking to receive some advice as I'm interested in getting my first Submariner, however, I'm not entirely sure where one should start off year/model/style

is it best to start off with a 16610? or 116610?

I've read some articles on whether the watch has hole or no holes, assuming this determines about what year it was produced..?

is it wrong to shop online via third party or better of going to a jewelry shop in person?
